100 million dollars for Roscosmos. An essay.
Andrei Molchanov wrote and published an excellent literary work "New Year in October" in the Yunost magazine. ("New Year in October." Novel. "Youth" (1983)). [In Russian]
This novel is one of the few interesting works about Soviet science.
The main character of the novel, the son of the director of a scientific research institute, earns money in the field of science in various cunning ways.
This hero is a small fry. There is no mention in the novel of the Oblast Committee of the CPSU, of the Central Committee of the CPSU, or of the Committee of People's Control.
No one robbed anyone, no one took away anyone's scientific business (scientific and technical research in the interests of the USSR Navy, initiated through the Military-Industrial Commission under the Council of Ministers of the USSR).
The hero of Andrei Molchanov's novel, according to the plot, pinched the state money allocated for science... so... by little portions.
After reading the Yunost magazine, I became interested in the literary activity of Andrei Molchanov. "Where is he? What is (with) he?" I thought.
I didn't find any mention of Andrei Molchanov (for a long period of time). And I had an idea that somewhere, far from civilization, among swamps and forests, in almost inaccessible, remote places, in a log house, far from everyone, he was writing some talented works (in the interests of Russian Soviet Literature).
But one day (about ten years ago) I found a set of books about Ukraine in electronic libraries. From these books, I learned about the reality that was characteristic of (for) Donbass in the period from 1991 to 2014. There are a lot of interesting things, more interesting than about the "saints" nineties in Russia.
In one of the books, I found (I think on the back of cover) several paragraphs written by Andrei Molchanov.
Andrei Molchanov regretted that the RUBOPs (Directorates for Combating Organized Crime) had been eliminated: Experienced people were gathered there, and a lot of experience was accumulated there.
I began to make further efforts to find out what Andrei Molchanov's literary path was. It turns out that he moved closer to government structures (a glorious pre-literary biography; he is a graduate of the Literary Institute named after Gorky, the author of a talented novel published in the pre-perestroika Yunost magazine ...). So, he was promoted to major general and retired. (Andrei Alekseevich Molchanov (born November 23, 1953, Moscow) is a Russian writer, screenwriter and historian, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR and the Union of Writers of Russia.)
Thank you for taking care of Russian literature!
Now it's time to say "thanks" for the care of the Soviet space branch.
I heard on the radio today that Krikalev is a significant figure in Roscosmos, and that he personally flew into space. (Sergey Konstantinovich Krikalev (born August 27, 1958, Leningrad) is a Soviet and Russian aviation athlete and cosmonaut, pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR).
When the famous kino-flight into space, worth about $ 100 million, was executed Krikalev seemed to express some doubts about the expediency of such an event.
Thank you for taking care of the Soviet (Russian) space industry!
I did not expect that Krikalev would create a some Fund "For the Efficiency of the Space Industry," that he would bombard all instances with letters, that he would attend hearings in a Russial state body called the people's representative branch, and would protect the interests of the Russial space industry there.
Krikalev is more or less in plain sight, so I knew that he continued to work in the Russial space industry before the space kino-flight (for $ 100 million), during this flight, and after the flight.
However, around the time of the movie-flight (for $ 100 million), Borisov joined the leadership of Roscosmos. (Borisov, Yuri Ivanovich (born December 31, 1956, Vyshny Volochek, Kalinin oblast, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian statesman.)
The new head expressed interest in the mechanics of financing a space kino-flight (for $ 100 million) and even expressed himself in such a way that it could be assumed that these $ 100 million dollars would bear their weight not on the Russial state, but on those organizations (or those individuals) who initiated this kino-flight.
However, this is not an easy matter.
It can be assumed that all the nuances of financing a unique film-flight have been investigated for several years.
And now! At last! The issue of protecting the financial interests of the state (in connection with a unique space kino-flight for about $ 100 million) has come to a successful finish!
So it seems to me (though ... the matter is very unclear for ordinary citizens who do not have access to special financial documentation).
Thank you for taking care of the Soviet (Russian) space industry!
Thank you for taking care of Soviet (Russian) literature!
Take care of Russia!
