Several portraits of Maxim Gorky, many portraits of Lenin (for some reason, 1919 year prevails), a little less (in number) portraits of the dear Leonid Ilyich, several portraits of Khrushchev [one of the options is a five stars of the Hero, a white tie] and of Stalin.
Of the portraits of Lenin, the painting "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in the Dresden Gallery, 1914" ("Владимир Ильич Ленин в Дрезденской галерее в 1914 году") attracts attention.
Did Lenin visit art galleries? I have not come across information about this. Lenin preferred libraries. One of his first decrees after the seizing power was the Decree on Libraries. It seems that he was trying to correct some shortcomings in the work of some European libraries (either the mode of operation did not always suit him, or something else).
"He studies the works by V.I. Lenin, the memories of him, he works in archives, he consults with scientists and museum workers, visits places associated with the leader"s activities, he makes preliminary pictures and sketches," the author of a short biography writes.
In the cultural history of Russia, there was fact of a meeting and acquaintance of Vissarion Belinsky with Polina Viardot (at the initiative of Turgenev) - in the Dresden Art Gallery (approximately January 1847).
In the painting by Dmitry Nalbandyan, Lenin looks at the "Sistine Madonna" by Raphael. Madonna from Raphael's painting looks at Lenin. In Lenin's hand is a folder with papers. What are these papers? Or is it a book?
In a number of Nalbandyan's paintings, Lenin is holding some papers in his hands.
Another interesting painting is "Portrait of Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev" ("Портрет Леонида Ильича Брежнева"). A snow-white cuffs and a beautiful cufflinks attract attention. Very pretty cufflinks. On the face of Leonid Ilyich, somebody of the viewers of the picture can see a complete bliss.
On another portrait - next to Leonid Ilyich - eyeglasses. Reminiscent of Suslov's eyeglasses - the style of the eyeglasses is some kind of old-fashioned and a thick glasses (such an impression).

Landscape "Yasnaya Polyana" - well painted.
A multi-figure composition - Stalin descends some kind of front staircase. Behind Stalin's back they go, a row by a row (line after line), his comrades. Everyone smiles. Many have mustaches... They all are approaching the viewer (the painter) with a clearly benevolent mood.
