The janitor and the cake. A story for children about Seryozha.
For the upcoming holiday, Seryozha's family bought a cake.
There was a lot of different food on the festive table. So, the cake remained unpacked.
The housekeeper put the cake in the fridge.
After the holiday, a lot of household garbage accumulated. Seryozha usually didn't throw away the garbage. But the three large bags of garbage were gathered, and the housekeeper was busy washing dishes. So, Seryozha, leaving the house, took with him bags of garbage.
Passing by the garbage cans, Seryozha threw the bags into the trash tank. However, having no habit, he threw one package past the trash tank.
Without giving it any importance, he went further.
However, the janitor turned out to be nearby, who disapprovingly told Seryozha:
- Garbage should be thrown into trash cans, not on the ground!
Seryozha returned, picked up a bag of garbage and dropped it into the trash tank.
Then he went up to the janitor:
- Let me give you an invitation card for a special event in our pool!
The janitor looked at the invitation card.
The invitation card was beautifully decorated. There was depicted the famous swimmer (on the award podium with a medal and a smile). The invitation card looked good.
The janitor twisted the invitation card in his hand and put it in his pocket:
- I'll give it to one of the younger ones.
Seryozha nodded his head and headed to school.
The housekeeper, during a trip to the store, found out about this case.
When Seryozha returned from school, she informed him:
- The cake is in the fridge. No one eats it. Would you like a cake for tea?
- I don't want to now.
- So what should we do with it?
- Throw it away so that it does not take up space in the refrigerator. We will buy a fresh cake.
The next day, the housekeeper went to throw out the trash. She was carrying the cake separately. She put it in a beautiful package.
When she saw the janitor, the housekeeper said:
- A cake was bought a few days ago. They didn't even unpacked it. It's still fresh. Maybe you can use it?
- Put it on the bench. I'll deal with it when I finish sweeping the yard.
The housekeeper put the cake on the yard bench, threw out the bag with garbage and returned to the apartment.
After this incident, Seryozha tried not to deal with garbage.
But while meeting the janitor, he was looking at him kindly, smiling politely and greeting him.
