In the top part of the Bureya Reservoir (where a descent of a huge landslide in December of last year took place) (the water reserves created a danger with flooding of coastal settlements of Verkhnebureinsky district) the water level began to fall promptly. About it the correspondent of Habarovsky kray segodnya news Agency was told by residents of the village of Chekunda which is offered for resettling because of flooding threat.
- At us for the last two-three of day water level dropped practically by eight meters. We contacted on the radio set with fellows from the Ministry of Emergency Situations which work at the place of a landslide. They told that proran [channel], punched [made] by military for the admission [movement] of water, began to extend promptly.
There was it [proran, channel] initially 30-40 meters wide, and now already about 150 meters.
When the ice drift began, the water began to expand its pathway [corridor]. It started last night. People who are in place, woke up a terrible roar. At first, they say, they thought that a new landslide came down.
And in the morning people approached it and saw that the proran became five times wider, - Chekunda's inhabitant Alexander Khudyakov told. - An ice costs near Chekunda so far, but it is visible how level [of the river water] promptly falls.
For those who do not want to leave our village, like my family, for example, this is a very pleasant event. But for those who want to leave, not very good. After all, it turns out that the threat to the village is gone, and the resettling may be in question. (...)
- It is very good that near Chekunda water level began to decrease. Because till May holidays it quite intensively grew. It caused concern in us, - the head of department of water management of the Amur Basin Water Administration of Federal Agency for Water Resources Nikolay Yefimov noted. - Though process about which Chekunda's inhabitants speak is quite natural.
When the level rose, the water began to flow through the proran much more intensively. Also, the ice in front of the proran melted and ceased to create an obstacle to the flow [of water].
The situation around the Bureya anomaly is monitored by the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, hydrologists. In the nearest future the complex expedition of Institute of water and environmental problems of the FEB RAS is planned. Scientists will look for weak points where landslides similar to the fact that descended in December of last year can repeat.
- As of morning on May 7, water level in the Bureya River at a hydropost of the village of Chekunda decreased on more than by 3.5 meters. The difference of water levels after the proran makes 3.07 m. At the same time in the place of a descent of soil width the proran naturally became more. When thawing soil and increase in speed of a current and volume of water of a wall washed away. Now, according to preliminary estimates, depth of the proran is from 1 to 2 m, its width on an entrance is from 130 to 140 m, in the center - to 100 m, at the exit - up to 60 m. The walls of the proran non-uniform, goes their gradual fall, - the head of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation of Khabarovsk Krai Ekaterina Potvorova told." The group of geophysicists arrived to the place of a landslide on Bureya
The group of geophysicists arrived to Bureya for control of a situation on the place of a landslide. Scientists will regularly carry out aerial photography, to make measurements. The main problem - the movement of rock and emergence of new cracks in rocks. The State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company "Far East" reports about it.
The risk of a repeated landslide on the river is still possible, the Head of Laboratory of optimization of regional environmental management of Institute of water and environmental problems of the FEB RAS Andrey Ostroukhov told. But, fortunately, its size will be not such global as in the winter.
Different experts, including rescuers continue to work in Verkhnebureinsky district. They watch that the trees which fell to the course did not create a jam to the movement of the river. The danger of flooding of the village of Chekunda remains so far, the deputy chief of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia of Khabarovsk Krai Vitaly Darchiya reported. Rescuers have all equipment, necessary for emergency situations. They will be on duty on Bureya until the end of a flood." [https://www.vesti.ru/doc.html? id=3144432]

Trips from Khabarovsk to Fuyuan are postponed for unknown term
On APRIL 30, 2019 ..." [https://todaykhv.ru/news/tourism/19904/]
The comment.
1. New landslides are not observed yet. (And what is "landslide"? What quantitative and qualitative criteria of "landslide"? One insignificant stone descended - it is "landslide"? Two? Three?...).
Everything will be good, okay!!
2. The scenario of a self-damage of the spontaneous dam and the movement of a powerful high wave from the place of a spontaneous dam downstream in the direction of the dam of the Bureya hydroelectric power station (and further?.) - this scenario after the happened self-expansion of the artificial channel looks more realistic and probable.
Naturally, this scenario could be real only in the absence of the channel, punched [created] by military engineers and other participants of the unique, heroic, magnificent (on the skill and qualification) works.
3. Trips from Khabarovsk to Fuyuan are postponed for unknown term ...
(4. As repeatedly it happened and earlier, Habarovsky kray segodnya news Agency "has the finger on the pulse").
