Engineering troops of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation started the second stage of operation on elimination of the blockage which partitioned off the bed of the Bureya River. At the end of the last week experts punched the channel of 20.5 meters in depth on which water went. Now the channel should expand by the military to restore the water mode.
Capacity channels is about 600 cubic meters a second. Length of the channel - about 260 meters, width - 42 meters. The breed fragments which remained after explosions remove by means of heavy machinery. The water level in the reservoir began to level off...

If this assumption corresponds to the truth, then such result of works - restoration of hydraulic communication between two parts of the Bureya Reservoir without formation of a significant wave - can be considered one of the major positive results of the performed drilling-and-blasting works (for restoration of the normal hydrological mode of the Bureya Reservoir).
