Vladimir Vasilievich and the hunt (for scientific achievements). A story.
Both Vladimir Vasilievich himself and his parents were participants in the Great Patriotic War.
Of course, no one was going to officially recognize the merits of Vladimir Vasilievich and his mother who participated in the defense of Rostov-on-Don in November 1941.
But his father served officially in the ranks of the army. He was officially listed as an invalid of the Great Patriotic War.
Thus, from childhood, Vladimir Vasilievich was a patriot of his homeland.
They say that when the film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" was shown on TV for the first time, the streets of cities in the USSR were empty. Consequently, all Soviet people were patriots.
Vladimir Vasilievich showed an interesting quality, in addition to patriotism.
For example, after the war, he began to study at some technical school. There, in the school, was a trophy German Enigma machine or a turntable for records (now the details are difficult to restore).
The very appearance of this machine aroused interest and respect - and it was not thrown away, it was given to students and guests of the technical school for inspection.
Somehow Vladimir Vasilievich took this machine to inspect. He became interested. He began to disassemble this machine and suddenly fixed it. The performance of this machine was restored, and Vladimir Vasilievich's positive reputation in this technical school increased sharply.
After returning from Kazakhstan, Vladimir Vasilievich was, moreover, confident in his organizational abilities.
What could a patriot, a person with technical and organizational skills do?
Both the oral recollections of the participants in the war and the written memoirs set people in a romantic, spiritually uplifting mood.
In the Atlantic, wolf packs of the German submarine fleet sank British, American, Soviet and other allied ships during the war ...
Did Vladimir Vasilievich know about this or did he not? If the German trophy machine was really Enigma, then he might have known.
In general, he got involved in the topic of strengthening the power of the Soviet submarine navy.
It was not so easy to hunt for scientific and technical achievements for the benefit, in the interest of the new, atomic, underwater navy.
None of those people, who surrounded Vladimir Vasilievich, had the relevant experience and skills.
But his personal abilities were enough for him.
He visited both the Council of Ministers and the State Planning Committee, made some applications, received some orders.
Things were moving forward. The details are kept secret.
When the captain did not allow him to board a warship for experiments, Vladimir Vasilievich knew how to insist on his own, and in the early days he ate smoked sausage from his own suitcase (after a few days, due to naval ethics, they still began to feed guests with food from the ship's kitchen).
Some "enemies of the people" with a huge military bulldozers tried to drag away the experimental installations somewhere onto the shore. He had to argue with these rude people and to insist on his own plans. Was it possible that some people in uniform (armed?) were against the strengthening of the power of the Soviet submarine fleet, and a civilian person - Vladimir Vasilievich - had to defend his native Soviet Navy ???
To visit the Council of Ministers, the State Planning Commission and other departments, he had to travel from a provincial town to the capital; it were business trips.
Vladimir Vasilievich stayed at the Yangtze Hotel.
When he came to this hotel for the first time and came up to the administrator, he, without demanding any documents, named the surname of Vladimir Vasilievich. He, naturally, confirmed that it was really him. And after this inspiring beginning, he was settled in this hotel.
The hunt for scientific achievements for the Navy continued.
Surely in these days of his youth, Vladimir Vasilievich resembled the young Igor Sikorsky - only not American, but Soviet.
Vladimir Vasilievich at that time was a relatively young man. It was at that time that his marriage took place.
His wife temporarily lived in the capital - she took some exams.
So, both spouses lived in connection with their affairs in the capital. Naturally, they decided to meet.
Perhaps the rooms in the Yangtze Hotel were quite spacious, and Vladimir Vasilievich invited his wife to his room.
He spoke about further events rather briefly, so that further 75 percent is the story of a participant in the events, and 25 percent - it is a logical reconstruction.
After the talking about patriotism, about the outstanding achievements of the USSR, about their personal plans, the couple decided to rest.
Perhaps it was already past 23:00 when there was a loud noise.
A group of aggressive, demanding, very active people burst into the room. Apparently, the rule of the presence of guests in the room after 23:00 was violated.
However, the actual situation was completely different.
It was an era of high moral values.
Violators of moral values caught at the crime scene were facing a difficult prospect and a hard choice.
What woman could be invited to his room by a provincial scientist who came to the capital on a business trip? Everyone should have learned about his behavior - both his relatives and work colleagues! And to do his condemnation and additional education!
In general, Vladimir Vasilievich, who hunted for scientific achievements for the Soviet Navy, himself turned into a kind of beast, for which the hunt began.
What prospects awaited him, a lover of walking around the Councils of Ministers, State Planning Commissions and other departments and to receive there "funds", "financing", etc.?
History is silent as to whether any of those who broke into Vladimir Vasilievich's room dripped saliva.
Everything started spinning like in a good detective novel.
Detained! If not a foreign spy, then a violator of Soviet morality. And soon he will tremble and beg ... Otherwise! ...
They began to draw up documents.
The group scattered across the hotel room, angrily examining those caught.
"Your passport!"
The pen rustled over the paper. Such and such in such a hotel room at the wrong time (after 23-00) ... etc.
The wheel of an emergency search has spun!
Suddenly, a marriage certificate appeared from the handbag of Vladimir Vasilievich's wife. Why did she take the marriage certificate with her to the capital? Perhaps she had not yet changed her last name in the documents after marriage. So, the marriage certificate was needed periodicaly.
If there was no the marriage certificate, then perhaps the drafting of documents would have continued.
But with a marriage certificate, the entire plan of group collapsed.
The group with loud cries, with a shouting of a curses, went out from the room to the corridor. In itself, the presence of the spouse after 23:00 (11 pm) in the hotel room, if it was a violation, then it was insignificant. To where and to whom report this? For a laugh of chickens?
This was around the middle of the 60s of the 20th century. So Vladimir Vasilievich still had time to hunt for scientific and technical achievements in favor of the Soviet submarine fleet, and those who broke into the room - to catch violators of Soviet morality.
